Kansas City payment processing help

Know what you are paying for and whether your payment setup still fits.

I help Kansas City business owners understand their current processing costs, find the right equipment and payment options, and decide whether changing anything would actually improve the business.

No obligation to switch. The first call is simply a chance to understand what you have and whether there is a worthwhile next step.

What you get from the conversation

A clear view of what you have, what it costs, and what could work better.

Your processing rate matters, but so do monthly fees, software, equipment, card mix, support, and the amount of time your team spends working around the system.

We will identify what is working, what is costing you money or time, and whether there is a practical reason to make a change. If your current setup is already the right fit, I will tell you that too.

  • A clear explanation of how your current payment setup works and what you’re paying for
  • The questions worth asking your current provider
  • A clear next step, even if that means staying where you are
What I help with

The right setup should make it easier to take payments, not harder.

I start with how your business works today, then narrow the options to what is actually useful.

In-person payments

Countertop, mobile, and wireless options for front desks, shops, job sites, events, and teams on the move.

Point-of-sale systems

For businesses that need more than a basic terminal, including inventory, menus, employees, tipping, and reporting.

Invoices and online payments

Options for virtual terminals, invoicing, recurring payments, and online checkout when the fit is right.

Pricing structure

A clear comparison of traditional processing, cash discount, and dual pricing, including the tradeoffs that matter to your customers and staff.

What to expect

We start with your business, not a product pitch.

The first call is about your current workflow, costs, and priorities. You do not need to prepare a full application or commit to anything.

  1. Walk me through how you take payments today

We will cover how customers pay, what equipment or software your team uses, and what you would most like to improve.

  2. Review the details only if it is worthwhile

You do not need a statement for the first call. If a deeper review makes sense, I will explain what information is useful and how to share it appropriately.

  3. Leave with a clear recommendation

I will explain the options, tradeoffs, and likely next steps. You decide whether making a change is worth it.

Shaun Clyncke
About me

I understand why business owners want clear answers and a reliable point of contact.

I am Shaun Clyncke, founder of Saving Grace Consulting. I live in the Kansas City area with my wife and children, and I previously owned a small business.

Owning a business taught me how quickly fees, vendors, technology, and day-to-day problems compete for an owner’s attention. I have also spent my career helping businesses evaluate technology and make practical decisions. My role is to make payment processing easier to understand and to stay accessible when questions come up.

Common questions

What business owners usually want to know first.

What will we cover in the first consultation?

We will talk through how you accept payments today, what is working, what is frustrating, and what you want to improve. The goal is to determine whether a deeper review would be useful.

Do I have to replace my current equipment?

Not always. It depends on compatibility, the processor, your software, and what you want the new setup to do. I will check those details before recommending a change.

Do you only work with cash-discount programs?

No. Cash discount and dual pricing are two possible approaches, but traditional processing may be the better fit for some businesses.

Do I need to send a processing statement before we talk?

No. A basic overview of your current setup is enough for the first conversation. If a statement review would be helpful later, I will explain what is needed.

Will I definitely save money?

I cannot promise that before reviewing the details. Cost is one factor, but equipment, software, workflow, support, and customer experience also matter. I will be straightforward about whether there appears to be a meaningful reason to change.

Is the 30-minute consultation really free?

Yes. It is a chance to see whether I can help and whether a deeper review is worth your time.
